Sonya Walsh, Human Resources Coordination
Sonya is the Human Resources Coordinator at Seafair, supporting day-to-day HR operations and helping deliver a positive employee experience across the organization. She enjoys collaborating across departments to improve data quality and support organizational growth through HRIS management and thoughtful coordination.
A graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland, Sonya earned her Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative) degree and brings more than a decade of experience with the Provincial Health Authority. In a client-focused, leadership role, she helped people access community-based supports; experience that continues to shape her practical, people-first approach.
Outside of work, Sonya is a freelance writer and personal blogger, having had work published in several newspapers and on a reputable online platform. She also maintains two personal blogs. A proud mom of two, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking, reading, and writing.
